Former Clemson wide receiver Diondre Overton, a key member of two national championship-winning teams, was tragically shot and killed early Saturday morning in Greensboro, North Carolina, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. Overton was 26 years old.

  • Shooting Incident: Deputies responded to a noise disturbance call around 2:30 a.m. ET. While en route, they were informed of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Overton, who was given immediate medical attention but was pronounced dead at the scene.
