Actor James Hollcroft Found Dead in Mexico City: Tributes and Shock from the Entertainment Community

An actor who vanished mysteriously in Mexico City has been found dead. James Hollcroft, 26, disappeared on September 3 while returning to his residence in the Tizapán neighborhood. The residence is located near the Artistic Education Center, the acting school he attended, which is operated by Televisa, a major media company in Mexico.

The Artistic Education Center expressed their condolences, saying, “Thank you for all those good times we spent together during your acting training. We will carry you in our memories and hearts; you will always be part of our CEA family. Farewell, dear James Hollcroft.”

Neither local authorities nor Hollcroft’s family have released details about the circumstances of his death.

In a heartfelt tribute posted on Saturday, his sister Jane Hollcroft wrote, “I will love you forever. Thank you for the years we shared and for the most magnificent moments I have ever experienced. You will always be present in our hearts, little brother.”

James Hollcroft was known for his roles in several episodes of Televisa’s drama Como dice el dicho and in the 11th season of the play Dime que sí (Tell Me Yes), which is currently in its 16th season at Teatro en Breve.

His passing has shocked the acting community and his loved ones. Luis Duval shared a touching message on Instagram Stories, which has since been deleted, saying, “I love you so much. I’m going to miss you. Fly high, my boy. I will always remember how great you were.”

His brother-in-law, Arturo Avila, expressed his grief on Facebook, writing, “I wish this was just another dream. Thank you for being the brother you were, the uncle you were to your nephews, and the great son you were. We are going to miss you a lot; this really breaks my heart. Today we lower the curtain here, but I know you are in heaven performing that great staging you always talked about.”
