The sequel shattered box office records during its theatrical run, earning an astounding $1.7 billion worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time. Now that it’s available at home, brace yourself for countless rewatch requests from the kids.

Arriving nine years after the original Oscar-winning film, Inside Out 2 picks up with Riley (played by Kensington Tallman), who is now 13 and navigating the turbulence of her teenage years in San Francisco. As Riley faces the ups and downs of puberty, her emotions—led by Amy Poehler’s Joy, Phyllis Smith’s Sadness, and Lewis Black’s Anger—are joined by new, more complex feelings. Enter Maya Hawke’s Anxiety, claiming to know what’s best for Riley as she grows older.

With a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has received widespread acclaim. Perhaps most notably, Beyoncé named it her favorite movie of the year in her GQ cover interview.

Poehler shared that in the near-decade since the first movie, audiences have become even more open to exploring complex emotions and mental health, particularly in young people.

“People are ready to talk about anxiety and how it clashes with joy, and the idea of toxic positivity,” Poehler said. “The last 10 years have seen people dive deeper into their feelings, so the timing feels right.”

To mark Inside Out 2’s arrival on Disney+, The Daily Beast’s Obsessed has released an exclusive clip of the cast sharing what movies their characters would watch during a cozy movie night. Poehler’s pick for Joy? Musicals, of course—she mentioned Singin’ in the Rain and Meet Me in St. Louis as her character’s favorites.

Lewis Black’s choice for Anger—Network with its legendary “mad-as-hell” monologues—couldn’t be more fitting, while Tony Hale’s Fear would retreat into Care Bear Land.

Check out the clip to see what films Liza Lapira (Disgust), Paul Thomas Hauser (Embarrassment), and Maya Hawke (Anxiety) think their characters would binge.
