The Chicago Bulls are signing free agent guard Joshua Primo to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. The move has been officially confirmed by the team, as noted by K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Sports Network.

Primo, the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, played his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs, appearing in 50 regular-season games and averaging 5.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 19.3 minutes per game. However, early in his second season, he was waived by the Spurs following allegations of inappropriate behavior, which included exposing himself to women. This led to a four-game NBA suspension, after which Primo was picked up by the Los Angeles Clippers on a two-way contract. Though he was later converted to a standard contract, Primo only appeared in two NBA games for the Clippers before being released at the end of the 2023–24 season.

Most of Primo’s time last season was spent in the NBA G League with the Clippers’ affiliate, where he averaged 16.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals across 30 games. His season ended in April due to a stress fracture in his left ankle, which affected his offseason activities.

Primo is expected to be waived by the Bulls before the season starts and will join their G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls, as he continues rehabbing his injury. If he spends at least 60 days with Windy City, he would be eligible for a bonus of up to $77.5K in addition to his G League salary.

With the signing of Primo, the Bulls have reached the offseason roster limit of 21 players.
