BOSTON —
With just days before the puck drops for the Bruins’ season opener, Boston and goaltender Jeremy Swayman have reached a new contract.
The Bruins announced Sunday that the All-Star goalie has agreed to an 8-year deal worth $66 million.

The signing comes as the Bruins had a meager 2-5 preseason record with one of the concerns being the goaltending.
Swayman will be the likely starter for Boston between the pipes for the season opener Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers.
Swayman is coming off an All-Star season where he was 25-10-8. He was drafted by the Bruins in 2017 and made his debut in the 2021-22 season.
