Taylor Rousseau Grigg, a 25-year-old TikTok lifestyle content creator, has tragically passed away. Her husband, Cameron Grigg, announced her “sudden and unexpected” death in an emotional Instagram post on Oct. 5, and a GoFundMe page shared more details about the heartbreaking loss.

“No one ever expects to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age,” Cameron began in his lengthy post. Though no official cause of death has been released, Taylor had been open with her 1.4 million TikTok followers about her health struggles.

In an August TikTok video, Taylor revealed that she used to be “very athletic” but had since faced severe health challenges. “I’m not healthy and in good shape, and haven’t been in a long time,” she shared, explaining that she “got sick” shortly after marrying Cameron in August 2023. It wasn’t until 2024 that she finally received a diagnosis, though she chose to keep the details private.

“You’re seeing me be sick for the whole time that we’re married and not finding out what was wrong until this year… I barely found out what was wrong with me. I was struggling that whole time feeling like I was going to die,” she said. Taylor described feeling as though she was constantly fighting for her life, lamenting that at 24, she should have been in her prime, but instead was struggling with basic tasks like walking to the mailbox.

Though she confirmed her diagnosis, Taylor chose not to disclose specifics, explaining that sharing details often invites unwanted advice. “It’s a ‘forever thing,’ and I’m still struggling with that fact,” she said in her video.

In his Instagram post, Cameron revealed that Taylor had been “in and out of the hospital” throughout their short marriage. “This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime. And in spite of that, she was always a light, bringing joy to everyone around her.”

Cameron also shared that Taylor would be donating her organs, which will go to pediatric patients. “Her earthly body is still here with us, being sustained by machines to keep her organs viable for donation,” he wrote. “Taylor would absolutely love to know that her organs will help children. She was always eager to help others when she could.”

Taylor, who had just turned 25 in September, was known for her TikTok content about her country lifestyle, her marriage, her dog, and her faith. Her final TikTok, posted on Sept. 26, showed her taking her dog to the vet, a testament to her daily life.

Cameron concluded his heartfelt post by comforting Taylor’s followers, saying, “She doesn’t owe anyone anything, but she would want everyone to know that she’s more than OK. While her earthly body is waiting to give the gift of life, her spirit is dancing in heaven, adorned with all her beauty, grace, and her endless shoe collection.”

Taylor’s passing has left her online community and loved ones heartbroken, but her legacy of kindness, courage, and resilience will be remembered.
