The incident unfolded when deputies were called to the Safari Park, located about 80 miles northeast of Memphis, following reports that a guest had been bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, the deputies were immediately struck by suspicious odors emanating from a vehicle belonging to the guests.

After conducting a search, authorities arrested Slaton Halterman and Lovvorn. Slaton Halterman has been charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule IV substances, as well as two counts of child endangerment. Lovvorn, who was in the vehicle with her, is facing the same charges. Both were subsequently booked into the Crockett County Jail.

Amy Slaton Halterman, who rose to fame on the TLC series “1,000-Lb. Sisters,” has had a tumultuous personal life, including a highly publicized split from her estranged husband, Michael Halterman. The couple, who eloped in 2017 and had a formal wedding in 2019, separated less than a year after the birth of their second son, Glenn Allen, in July 2022. Their first son, Gage, was born in November 2020.

The breakup led Michael Halterman to request a civil restraining order, mandating that both parties maintain a distance of 500 feet from each other and from each other’s residences.

Amy Slaton Halterman has been open about her weight loss journey on “1,000-Lb. Sisters,” which premiered in January 2020. At the beginning of the show, she weighed over 400 pounds. Following gastric bypass surgery, she successfully shed 136 pounds, bringing her weight down to 275 pounds.
