UNCASVILLE, Conn. — During Game 2 on Wednesday night, a courtside fan was temporarily escorted from his seat after Fever rookie Caitlin Clark reported him to officials.
Following a Fever foul, Clark approached the referees and pointed out a fan sitting in the second row of courtside seats. Security at Mohegan Sun Arena quickly intervened, escorting the fan out of his seat and to the back of the arena.
As the fan was being led away, Clark had a brief conversation with veteran Sun guard DeWanna Bonner, who had drawn the foul. The two had already had a tense moment earlier in the game when Clark felt Bonner didn’t give her enough landing space on a 3-point attempt. After Bonner’s comment during this exchange, Clark walked away, shaking her head.
When asked about the heated exchanges after the first quarter, Clark told ESPN, “I stayed focused on what’s on the floor and my four other teammates.”

Meanwhile, the Fever challenged the foul call, arguing it was attributed to the wrong player. After review, the foul was reassigned to Lexie Hull.
By the time the review concluded, the fan had returned to his seat.
