Musician Dave Grohl has shared personal news about his family, revealing that he has recently welcomed a new baby daughter outside of his marriage to his wife, Jordyn Blum. In a statement on his Instagram on Tuesday, the Foo Fighters frontman announced the birth, saying, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
Grohl, who has been married to Blum since 2003, expressed his commitment to his family, adding, “I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved as we move forward together.”
Grohl did not disclose any details about the mother of his newborn in the statement. The couple, who have largely kept their relationship and family life private, share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
The family was recently seen together at Wimbledon during the Foo Fighters’ European tour in July. Grohl’s representative offered no additional comment beyond the Instagram post.
