The Philadelphia Eagles are getting a well-timed break in Week 5 of the NFL season.

With a 2-2 record so far, the Eagles will be resting this Sunday, and their bye week couldn’t come at a better time. Injuries have plagued the team in recent weeks, making this break crucial for recovery.

Philadelphia is one of four teams with a Week 5 bye, joined by the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, and Tennessee Titans. When the Eagles return to action in Week 6, they’ll face the Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. ET.

Key players like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith could be back on the field. Brown has been nursing a hamstring injury, while Smith is recovering from a concussion. Five-time Pro Bowler Lane Johnson, who’s also been sidelined with a concussion, is making strides in his recovery and may be ready to return as well.

This early bye is a blessing for the Eagles, allowing them to regroup and heal. Despite chatter surrounding their 2-2 start and speculation about possible coaching changes, the team’s struggles are largely due to injuries. With several key players expected to return, the Eagles are poised to bounce back when they hit the field again in Week 6.
