Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young was arrested on charges of assaulting an unborn child and battery, according to the Athens-Clarke County jail log. The arrest took place early Tuesday morning, with Young being booked at 4:18 A.M. His bond has been set at $2,500.

Young, who transferred from Miami this offseason, has been a key player for the Bulldogs’ offense this season. During his two seasons with the Hurricanes, he accumulated 930 receiving yards and scored 10 touchdowns. Since joining Georgia, Young has recorded 149 receiving yards on 11 receptions, along with two touchdowns.

This incident marks the second time Georgia has lost a wide receiver this season. Rara Thomas, another wide receiver, was suspended indefinitely after being arrested on multiple charges, including three counts of Cruelty to Children in the 2nd Degree and three counts of Battery. Thomas, who transferred from Mississippi State, was set to begin his second season with the Bulldogs before the suspension.
