Kendrick Lamar is set to take center stage as the headliner for the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX halftime show, as announced by Roc Nation, the NFL, and Apple Music. The highly anticipated event will be held on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and broadcast on Fox.
Lamar, 37, previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent. That performance earned an Emmy Award for outstanding live variety special. For his 2025 show, Lamar’s creative direction will be managed by pgLang, the creative company he co-founded with Dave Free, who has directed many of Lamar’s music videos.
In a statement, Lamar said, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
Jay-Z and his Roc Nation team will return as producers for the halftime show, marking their sixth year in charge. Jay-Z praised Lamar’s global cultural influence, stating, “Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”
Since breaking onto the scene with his 2011 mixtape Section.80 and 2012 major-label debut good kid, m.A.A.d city, Lamar has become a dominant figure in music, amassing 17 Grammys and earning a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album DAMN., the first non-classical or jazz artist to win the prestigious award.
In 2023, Lamar topped the Billboard charts with hits like “Not Like Us” and “Like That” featuring Future and Metro Boomin.

The Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show will be produced by DPS, with Jesse Collins, Hamish Hamilton, and Roc Nation serving as executive producers and strategic advisors.
