Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban has issued a stern warning to X owner Elon Musk over his support for former President Donald Trump. The tension began when Musk responded to a post about migrants eligible for naturalization in the United States. In a lengthy message on X, Musk painted a grim picture of America’s political future, claiming that if Trump is not re-elected in the upcoming race, “this will be the last election.”

Trump, the GOP nominee, is set to face Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, in November’s election.

Musk’s argument hinges on the belief that the Democratic Party is accelerating the naturalization process for immigrants, potentially adding millions of new voters in key swing states. He warned that this could lead to a one-party system, effectively ending democracy in America.

“Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election,” Musk posted on X. “Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!”

Musk further claimed that the Biden administration has been flying asylum seekers directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona, calling it “a surefire way to win every election.”

In a sharp reply, Cuban cautioned Musk about aligning too closely with Trump.
“Elon, there will come a time when you need something from Donald Trump,” Cuban responded on X. “You will think you’ve earned the right to ask and receive. You’ve been a loyal, faithful soldier for him. You’ve supported him politically with tens of millions of dollars.”

Cuban then took a personal turn, saying, “Then, at the point you need him most, you will find out what so many before you have learned: his loyalty is only to himself.”

Adding an interesting twist, Cuban referenced X’s AI chatbot, Grok, in challenging Musk’s assertions. “Hey @elonmusk, truly appreciate the work you’ve done with @grok. It’s a great way to fact-check you,” Cuban wrote, sharing a response from the chatbot that appeared to contradict some of Musk’s claims.

This is not the first time Cuban and Musk have publicly clashed on social media. On September 17, Cuban posted, “Hey @elonmusk, this could make @X profitable,” while sharing a patent for new software he co-invented. Cuban had to turn off the comments on the post.

In his original message, the Mavericks owner explained that the system was designed to “deliver ads, of any media type, from social media or other software with a user profile.” He suggested that the system could enable users or platforms to sell ads in posts, adding, “If you want to add revenue to your platform, just ask!”
