McDonald’s Boo Buckets are back, just in time for Halloween! Starting on Oct. 15, participating locations will offer the popular pails as part of the Happy Meal, which can also double as a trick-or-treat bag. This year, the Boo Buckets come in four fresh designs: monster faces in white, orange, green, and a brand-new blue color. Fans can even customize their pails with Halloween stickers, as noted in McDonald’s press release. However, they’ll only be available while supplies last, so grab yours quickly!

McDonald’s first launched the Halloween-themed pails in 1986 and reintroduced them in 2016, 2022, and again in 2023. The return of these iconic buckets has fans buzzing with excitement on social media. One user on X commented, “It’s officially spooky season 👻,” while another shared, “I love Boo Buckets!! I literally use them to trick or treat!”

Known for its nostalgic toys and characters like Grimace and Ronald McDonald, McDonald’s has been on a roll with collectible items this year. In August, they launched the “Collector’s Meal,” which paired classic McDonald’s food with one of six limited-edition cups featuring iconic imagery such as Barbie, Beanie Babies, and Peanuts. Earlier this year, the chain also brought back the beloved McNugget Buddies, which first appeared in 1988, with updated designs created by NYC artist Kerwin Frost.
