This week, rumors are swirling as fans question the authenticity of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship, following the circulation of photos of an alleged contract on Reddit. The contract, purportedly under the letterhead of Full Scope Public Relations, outlines a pre-planned breakup between Swift and Kelce scheduled for September 28, 2024. The document allegedly details how Kelce should announce the separation, including specific wording and media outlets for post-breakup interviews.
However, Kelce’s publicist and founder of Full Scope, Jack Ketsoyan, swiftly debunked these claims. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ketsoyan described the photos as “entirely false and fabricated” and insisted that the document “was not created, issued, or authorized by this agency.” He further revealed that he has engaged a lawyer to “initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.” Despite this, it remains unclear how Ketsoyan plans to identify the creator of the forged document.
Adding fuel to the fire, Ketsoyan’s own past admissions have led some fans to remain skeptical. In a 2019 interview on Mamamia’s Australian podcast The Quicky, Ketsoyan confessed to orchestrating “showmances”—fake celebrity relationships designed to generate publicity. “I’ve had two [showmances] that I did in my career,” Ketsoyan admitted. He explained that these orchestrated relationships typically involve a high-profile male dating a lesser-known female, who then quickly becomes a household name.
“It’s such a career boost for a female that some females end up taking the deal because it just—overnight they become a household name,” Ketsoyan said. While this scenario traditionally applies to women gaining fame, Ketsoyan also noted that the dynamic can work in reverse, with a high-profile woman dating a lesser-known man for publicity—something that some fans suggest could be happening with Swift and Kelce.
Ketsoyan elaborated on the concept, saying, “It’s more uncommon on the male side of it than the female side of it to be honest,” particularly referencing past instances where closeted male celebrities participated in showmances to protect their public image. He acknowledged that while times have changed, the practice of using relationships to generate hype for projects like concerts, albums, or movies still exists.
Despite the resurfacing of Ketsoyan’s comments, which have fueled speculation, some fans and social media users have pointed out that the alleged contract “reads like a high school assignment” or may have been generated by ChatGPT, casting doubt on its authenticity.
In response to the viral contract, one social media user speculated, “Now they won’t break up September 28 and they will double down on making it seem real.” Another quipped, “Now they have to have three kids just [to] prove this wrong.”
As the rumors continue to circulate, the public remains divided on whether Swift and Kelce’s relationship is genuine or just another showmance designed to create buzz.
