Tyler, the Creator has released his highly anticipated album “Chromakopia”, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed “Call Me If You Get Lost”. The self-produced album features an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Childish Gambino, Schoolboy Q, Teezo Touchdown, Daniel Caesar, Doechii, Lil Wayne, Glorilla, and Sexyy Red.
 

Samples and Collaborations

“Chromakopia” boasts samples from legendary artists such as Zambian musician Paul Ngozi, Q-Tip, James Brown, and Luke. Daniel Caesar is credited as a co-composer on two tracks, “St. Chroma” and “Tomorrow”.

Promotion and Release

Leading up to the album’s release, Tyler shared a series of noir-inspired, self-directed videos for tracks “St. Chroma”, “Noid”, and “Thought I Was Dead“. In a social media post, Tyler explained the unconventional release time, encouraging fans to listen at their leisure.

Themes and Inspiration

At a listening event in Los Angeles, Tyler revealed that the album’s themes were inspired by wisdom passed down from his mother. “Now that I’m 33, I understand what she was talking about,” he said, reflecting on life’s changes and milestones.

Tour Announcement

Tyler will embark on a world tour in support of “Chromakopia” next year, with stops in three continents. Fans can look forward to experiencing the album live.
